Ben Adkins Motorsports

April 16, 2008 - The Ben Adkins Motorsports team kicked off the 08' season this past weekend at K-C Raceway for the "Glockner 50", Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event. The evening started off great as Ben qualified 13th quick out of the 52 entrants. After dropping back to 7th in his heat race, Ben was forced to earn his way into the show from one of the B-mains. His third place run in the B-main would have him starting 21st in the main event where Ben would end up with a 12th place finish overall.

The team is looking forward to visiting K-C Raceway again this following weekend.

April 21, 2008 - With the weather canceling the event at K-C Raceway this past weekend, the Ben Adkins Motorsports team made a last minute decision to make the trip to Eldora Speedway for an ALMS event. Ben started off the evening by qualifying 3rd quick in his group which would also be his heat race staring position. A 4th place finish in the heat would have Ben starting on the front row of the first B-main where he would finish 2nd, transferring him to the A-main. After dodging a first lap wreck on the front stretch, Ben was able to come home with an 8th place finish.

The next event for the Ben Adkins Motorsports team will be Saturday, April 26 at K-C Raceway.

April 27, 2008 - The Ben Adkins Motorsports team posted a solid run this past Saturday at K-C Raceway. Ben was 5th quick once qualifying came to an end, which was good enough to earn a front row starting position for the fast dash. His 5th place finish in the dash would also be Ben's starting position for the feature event. Once the green flag dropped, Ben quickly moved into the 3rd position. Ben battled several laps for the 2nd spot, but fell back to third while trying to maneuver through lapped traffic. A late race caution, with only three laps remaining, would reset the field for the final laps. Ben made one last challenge for 2nd but had to settle for 3rd once the checkered flag dropped.

Next week, the Ben Adkins Motorsports team plans on racing Saturday night at K-C Raceway.

May 14, 2008 - The Ben Adkins Motorsports team put together another solid run this past Saturday at K-C Raceway. Ben started the evening off being 3rd quick after qualifying and backed that up with a win in the dash that would have the team starting on the pole of the main event. Ben took the early lead but trouble struck with just a few laps into the race. A flat left rear tire sent Ben pitside where he would have to make a tire change and restart at the rear of the field. Lap by lap, Ben would pick off cars and slowly work his way back towards the front. A caution on lap 18, where Ben restarted 6th, bunched the field up one final time. On the final lap Ben moved into second and made an attempt for the lead coming out of the final turn but came up short.

Next week, the Ben Adkins Motorsports team plans on racing Saturday night at K-C Raceway.

June 19, 2008 - The Ben Adkins Motorsports team visted victory lane, for the first time this season at K-C Raceway, this past Saturday night. Qualifying was cancled and the nights heat races were lined up according to pill draws. After a solid 2nd place finish in the heat race, Ben would start the main event from the fourth position. Ben battled within the top four for most of the race. While running 3rd in the late stages of the race, the top two competitors dropped out giving Ben the lead. Despite the rough track conditions, it was a battle of survival to see who would come out on top. Ben would go on to lead the remaining laps and claim the teams first victory of the 08' season.

The next race for the Ben Adkins Motorsports Team will be this week end at K-C Raceway.
